lavozdeisa¿Qué es el arte para ti? La Asociación de Educación Artística de Florida (FAEA) se enorgullece de presentar el «Mes del Arte Juvenil 2026». Esta importante fecha fue creada en 1961 por el Instituto de Materiales para Arte y Manualidades. Es un momento importante en el sistema escolar porque brinda a los estudiantes la oportunidad de expresarse bajo los objetivos de reconocer la educación artística como un factor viable en las escuelas para desarrollar ciudadanos de una sociedad global. Dirigir la atención al valor de la educación artística para el pensamiento crítico, fomentar el compromiso con las artes por parte de estudiantes, organizaciones comunitarias e individuos de todo el mundo son, entre otras, una de sus prioridades.
Y, si bien, nos gusta hablar de Arte, también deberíamos hablar de la gran cantidad de asignaturas optativas de esta temática en PSMS, como Actuación, Diseño teatral, Dramaturgia y Dirección escénica en la clase de teatro. En el Coro, aprenderás, por ejemplo, a usar la técnica vocal adecuada y a actuar en un conjunto coral a través de temas como entrenamiento auditivo, apoyo respiratorio e historia de la música. Pero eso no es todo en las Artes visuales: aprenderás también a asumir riesgos creativos, adquirir habilidades técnicas y de resolución de problemas mientras exploras una amplia gama de medios. En Danza, tendrás la oportunidad de estudiar y adquirir habilidades competitivas en el campo de las Bellas artes: técnica de danza en ballet, diversos estilos de baile moderno y jazz, y danzas culturales. Por último, pero no menos importante, está el programa de Artes de la comunicación, que abarca escritura creativa, periodismo, publicaciones en medios escritos y digitales, como www.lavozdeisa.com, anuarios y transmisión televisiva.

What does art mean to you? The Florida Arts Education Association (FAEA) is proud to present «Youth Art Month 2026». This important date was established in 1961 by the Arts and Crafts Materials Institute. It is a significant time in the school system because it provides students with the opportunity to express themselves, with the goal of recognizing arts education as a viable factor in schools for developing citizens of a global society. Drawing attention to the value of arts education for critical thinking and fostering engagement with the arts by students, community organizations, and individuals worldwide are among its priorities.
And, while we like to talk about Art, we should also talk about the large number of optional subjects in this field at PSMS, such as Acting, Theatre design, Playwriting, and Stage direction in the Theatre class. In Choir, you will learn, for example, how to use proper vocal technique and perform in a choral ensemble through topics like ear training, breath support, and music history. But that’s not all in Visual Arts: you will also learn to take creative risks, acquire technical and problem-solving skills while exploring a wide range of media. In Dance, you will have the opportunity to study and acquire competitive skills in the field of Fine Arts: ballet dance technique, various styles of modern and jazz dance, and cultural dances. Last but not least, there is the Communication Arts program, which covers creative writing, journalism, print and digital media publishing, like www.lavozdeisa.com, yearbooks, and television broadcasting.
